Jessica Shepley, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CRN

Co-Founder, Chief Medical Officer

Jessica is the Chief Medical Officer, Managing Partner, and co-founder of Focal Point. She’s a dual-board-certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Registered Infusion Nurse. She began her career in 2006, providing care for patients in the Pediatric ICU/CVICU and specializing in outpatient infusion therapy for patients with rare chronic illnesses.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists & Practitioners (ASKP), the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the Infusion Nurses Society. Since 2016, Jessica has worked in psychiatry administering ketamine infusions and intranasal Esketamine (Spravato), and in 2020 helped cofound Cornerstone Psychiatric Care, which continues to utilize both ketamine and Esketamine (Spravato).

After first-hand experience dealing with barriers and challenges with insurance coverage for ketamine treatment, Jessica knew she needed to be a catalyst for change. She is passionate about ketamine therapy and continues to witness it change her patients’ lives. Recognizing that there was an unmet need for ketamine providers to understand how to reduce the cost of treatment, she helped cofound Focal Point. She and the other Focal Point cofounders have pioneered insurance billing for ketamine and continue advocating affordable treatment access. Her mission is to mentor and encourage other ketamine providers to utilize insurance coverage while improving access to this lifesaving treatment.
