Diyosa Leby Kho, BSN is CEO and cofounder of Focal Point. She graduated from Siena College of Taytay Rizal as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. She’s been an active member and volunteer of the Philippine Red Cross since 2010. Her career progression in the U.S. Healthcare industry started as an individual contributor in Blue Shield of California as a Subject Matter Expert in Eligibility and Claims Specialist in 2011. From 2014 – 2021, she worked at Unitedhealth Care as a Benefit and Claims Analyst dedicated to the Affordable Care Act of 2010, and then later was promoted to Subject Matter Expert in 2015 and Assistant Manager in 2018. During her journey in United HealthCare she actively joined leadership programs and certifications to elevate herself and find innovative ways of developing and managing people exemplified by ‘Manager Alpha’ in 2015, ‘Situational Leadership I’ in 2018 and ‘Situational Leadership II’ in 2020. In June 2021, Diyo began working as a Virtual Assistant with Cornerstone Psychiatric Care, as a Patient Benefits Coordinator and the same year she became the Intake and Scheduling Coordinator. In February 2022 she was promoted to Practice Manager. She went on to co-found Focal Point which uses a new model practice to integrate its services into the revenue management cycle for healthcare practices, especially those in the ketamine space. She works diligently with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies and workflows to improve Focal Point client’s day-to-day processes, and in turn, helps her team deliver the mission of making the health care system better for everyone.
Nelson Antonio Bolalin, BSN, RN is Chief Operations Officer and cofounder of Focal Point, providing leadership and management for the company, increasing productivity, and continually improving client relations. He graduated from Our Lady of Fatima University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became board certified in the same year. In 2009, he went on to become a staff/volunteer nurse at one of the established government tertiary hospitals in the Philippines, East Avenue Medical Center. He is also currently a member of the Philippine Red Cross. In 2012, his journey in US healthcare customer services began when he started as an eligibility and claims specialist of Blue Shield of California which piqued his interest in the US medical insurance industry and would provide a solid foundation for future growth in the industry. In 2015 – 2022, he worked for UnitedHealth Group/UnitedHealth Care as a Broker and Employer Eligibility Specialist, and then later was promoted to Reports Analyst, then Subject Matter Expert, and finally Workforce Analyst. Throughout his journey in UnitedHealth Care his leadership talent within the company was recognized and fostered via ‘Manager Alpha’ and ‘Lean Six Sigma Training,’ to name a few, which provided him a broad knowledge base in leadership and management. He along with the other co-founders of Focal Point have one vision: To improve access to care and to make life-saving treatments such as ketamine, affordable to all patients, by helping providers most easily realize insurance reimbursements. As a result of fulfilling this mission, he looks forward to having used his leadership in this industry, to help more patients access low-cost treatments.
Jessica Shepley, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CRNI, is a dual-board-certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Registered Infusion Nurse. She began her career in 2006, providing care for patients in the Pediatric ICU/CVICU and specializing in outpatient infusion therapy for patients with rare chronic illnesses. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists & Practitioners (ASKP), the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the Infusion Nurses Society. Since 2016, Jessica has worked in psychiatry administering ketamine infusions and intranasal Esketamine (Spravato), and in 2020 helped cofound Cornerstone Psychiatric Care, which continues to utilize both ketamine and Esketamine (Spravato). After first-hand experience dealing with barriers and challenges with insurance coverage for ketamine treatment, Jessica knew she needed to be a catalyst for change. She is passionate about ketamine therapy and continues to witness it change her patients’ lives. Recognizing that there was an unmet need for ketamine providers to understand how to reduce the cost of treatment, she helped cofound Focal Point. She and the other Focal Point cofounders have pioneered insurance billing for ketamine and continue advocating affordable treatment access. Her mission is to mentor and encourage other ketamine providers to utilize insurance coverage while improving access to this lifesaving treatment.
Marc Ettensohn, MD graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency program at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident for the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry. He also completed an ECT fellowship at Emory University and an administrative fellowship at the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. As a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he serves as an ambassador and committee member for The Board. He is also an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, The Florida Psychiatric Society, and the American Society of Ketamine Physicians.  He has been providing ketamine therapy since 2016 and established the private practice Cornerstone Psychiatric Care in 2020, which continues to utilize ketamine therapy. He and the other Focal Point cofounders found a huge disparity in patient access to the lifesaving treatments of ketamine therapy. He along with his cofounders, continue to work with practices B2B to provide the tools for improving all medical patient-provider-payer platforming. His mission is to enable provider autonomy, as he has a personal understanding of how this improves patient care.
